Claymation

In 2010 I did the illustrations for a children's book named Zahari. The author was Indian and invited me to Mumbai to help make a claymation film of the book. I got to meet some Bollywood stars and got claymation training from one of the top claymation artists in India.

The story is about a poor boy, Zahari, who makes friends with a broken fan. In his quest to repair the fan his life takes a dramatic turn.

A photo of me with the Zahari model. The claymation model is finished. It's asleep on a matras and covered by an orange blanked. I'm holding the model's arms.
That's me, gently waking up the Zahari model.
One of the claymation scenes. It shows Zahari as a waiter. He is standing in spotlight, holding a tray with drinks.

Another scene from the claymation. It shows Zahari's boss, Zahari and the broken fan.
